ZARA GRAVETT | ARCHITECTURE
About Me.
Hello! My name is Zara Gravett, a graduate from Nottingham Trent University with a Master of Architecture. I am always seeking to increase my knowledge and understanding of architecture and related subjects, as well as improve my skills in both digital and traditional media. I am currently open to all branches of architecture as long as I am helping to improve the world and the lives of the people in it. It is my belief that this can be achieved through sustainable and ergonomic design, memory, and phenomenology. However, my biggest passion is working with heritage buildings.

Work Experience
July 2024 - Present
Part 2 Architectural Assistant
rg+p
London, UK
While my time at rg+p was brief, I learnt a lot about working on large scale residential projects and how they differ from the smaller scale projects I was working on before.
My skills in Revit vastly improved as it was almost the sole programme I was working on during my time here and through using it as a tool to collaborate with other consultants.
I spent most of my time completing strategy and compliance drawings as well as working with the MEP Consultants to coordinate the building work holes in four blocks.

Unfortunately, changes in the financial environment of the country has meant I was unable to stay in this role, but I will forever be grateful for what I learned from it.
Education
2022 - 2024
MArch
Nottingham Trent University
Course Rep: 2022-2024
I have recently completed my Master of Architecture at NTU alongside some of my fellow alumni. During this course, I have improved my time management skills, allowing me to take on the role of Course Representative as well as partake in extra-curricular activities and societies.

My role as Course Rep has allowed me an insight into the inner workings of how my course is run, as well as allow me to make an impact on it. It has also taught me a lot of responsibility as students use me as their first port of call for any feedback, issues, or information.
2018 - 2021
BArch (Hons)
Nottingham Trent University
2nd Upper Class Degree (Hons)
While studying at NTU, I developed the majority of my skills and knowledge relating to architecture through a series of lectures (both compulsory and optional), projects, and modules.
Some of the modules included: Architecture in Context, where we learnt about the history of architecture and developed our knowledge of different architectural concepts and precedents through essays; Professional Practice, in which we learnt about how an architecture practice works through the development of our own practice and the creation of a Design Tender; and Technology and Environment where we learnt about the technical aspects of building, how building regulations affect design, and sustainable design.
